Otkud vam ideja da koriste TN panele?? Jel to provaliste sa fotke?? Ajde bre chitajte malo ljudi pre nego shto flejmujete…
Q. What type LCD panel are you using?
A. We use the latest generation MVA type panels, which are functionally comparable to current IPS/PVA based panels. As both technology types have improved over time, the real functional differences have become negligible.
Q. Who manufactures these displays?
A. The displays are designed and engineered by obsessive-compulsive Apple fanatics in the USA and then built by one of the top computer monitor and LCD television factories in China.
Q. Are these just copies of Apple’s displays?
A. No. Frankly, we think our design looks better than Apple’s. We think our component and materials selections are superior. And, we think our tilt mechanism (patent pending) and Aluminum base design are sexier than Apple’s.
Q. Are you seriously referring to lower cost products from Viewsonic, Dell, Samsung, Acer and others as ‘plastic junk’?
A. Yes. From the LCD panel they use, to the individual components in their electronics, to their controls, housings, and assembly methods, every decision they make is guided by cost reduction and feature bloat. We took an entirely different approach in our design philosophy, one aimed at making a true Apple fan as happy as possible with their purchase.
Q. Can I buy at Apple, Best Buy, Fry’s, or other major retail chains?
A. No. These companies demand an extremely high profit margin from manufacturers, which forces the retail price to be artificially raised to the consumer. We have decided to support the hundreds of independently owned Apple resellers around the world by selling to them directly, and not needlessly inflate our suggested retail pricing to accommodate chain store demands. Specifically, to meet the channel discounts required to sell through chain retailers we would have to put our pricing at $699, $549, and $399 for the 24, 20.1, and 19-inch models. It is extraordinarily expensive to build these products using the materials and craftsmanship involved. So, our factory cost is already higher than the retail price of many cheap plastic ‘competitors.’ Selling directly to smaller local stores allows us to keep our prices down, and still earn a fair profit.
Q. Why did you decide to build these products?
A. We love the perfectionist approach Apple takes to its own products, and we love the aesthetics of a nicely matched Apple based computer system. When we looked for lower cost display options to Apple’s all we found was plastic junk. So, as they say, a business was born.
