But it’s not really about me and my niche market. Its about the nerd-rage you feel every time you think about Apple bringing fire down from Olympus. Tech isn’t a tool for making the public’s life easier, it’s an excuse for you to feel superior to everyone who isn’t interested in participating in the typical geek’s zero-sum stance on computing. Yeah, people who just want their devices to work with a minimum of time invested are ‘stupid.’ ‘Stupid’ people don’t want to spend their time learning IT.
Imagine how ridiculous it would be for me to claim that everyone who can’t mic a guitar cabinet is ‘stupid.’ I mean, it’s not hard, right? You can use just about any mic, and often you can get good results with just one.
